Israel Raids Palestinian Radio in Hebron for ‘Broadcasting Incitement’

Screen grab from Al-Huriya Website Israel Defense Forces soldiers and Shin Bet operatives raided the offices of a Palestinian radio station in Hebron overnight Saturday, confiscating equipment and documents, the military said, citing Al-Khalil radio’s “broadcasts of incitement.” It’s the second time the army has closed a Hebron station it accuses of inciting violence. The raid came after a violent day of clashes between Palestinian and Israeli security forces in the West Bank and along the border fence with Gaza, and is the second of its kind the past month: Three weeks ago, the IDF swept the offices of Minbar Al-Hurriah 92.7 FM, shutting it down for similar reasons.
